Wren shower

Taken just as the wren hopped out of the waterfall and was still shaking out her feathers.
Photographically, this leaves a lot to be desired. It was taken through my kitchen window about twenty feet from the waterfall using high speed. It has a lot of artifacts and isn't very sharp, but I thought that it has artistic potential. Hope you think so too.

Re: Wren shower

Wow Shari; your photo actually already looked like a watercolor, so I just pushed it more into that direction. Thanks for sharing.

Lyle-that seems to be an anomaly of my camera-a Kodak Z712. It is supposed to have something to do with Kodak's noise reduction algorhythms according to DPReview. It is not so severe in most of my pictures but this one was taken through a window, across a porch and zoomed off hand. I was surprised that I got anything at all.

Olbaldy, I love the brush strokes.

Shari

Re: Wren shower

I love wrens - they're so feisty and perky! Nice renditions. Shari, good job catching a nice image in spite of the window, the distance, etc. You do well with bird photos.
