Re: Pink Moth....

Still a big fan of Fractilus Sylvia; just can't justify paying for it yet. Anyway, went a little less zany this time. Used G'MIC's b/w Sketch as a mask for the extracted flower and then added a textured paper backdrop to it.

Re: Pink Moth....

After posting, I felt it lacked too much pizazz, so this is just an enhanced contrast redo of that effort.

I like this one and the one Sylvia did with Frac. Not taking anything from either of you, I am amazed at the similarity.

I thought from time to time as I worked with Frac that I was seeing touches of a smudgy look. Never had one, either smudge or Frac, come out as well as these did.

Now if Sylvia will post a setting or two, (but only if she cares to that is.)

Thank you very much, Steve. I'll see if I can find the settings again and will send them to you if/when I do.
Sylvia
PS: Nice video!
We've got loads of Mormons and Mennonites living around the town where I live in Canada. The women and kids are dressed like the Amish. I wish I could take pictures of them but I'm afraid they would not like it very much

If you find the settings, that will be great and appreciated.

My wife and I spent some time in Pennsylvania Amish country a while back and stayed with a Mennonite family while there. Talk about a photographer's paradise! The Mennonite family told us that the Amish there were pretty used to having their picture taken. But I used a telephoto to get most of my shots. Some of the most beautiful farms I have ever seen. Such a peaceful place.

The Amish we saw in Tennessee were just as interesting. Although their community was smaller the life-style was the same.
