Re: Two cottages

I thought the first cottage looked a bit lonely and the second one is considered a cottage? Wow.

First, played w/colors & blending modes, masked in a more active looking background and then added some overall texture w/ flaming pear's India Ink. I haven't used India Ink in ages so it was fun to get into it again.

Beautiful area, Palms. Thanks.

Re: Two cottages

Nasturtium, your version is great...love the technique. But, forgive me, what is "trance edit", or is that a joke.

Re: Two cottages

wow a lot of excellent manipolation here

I am shocked by the file size limit...i can imagine how would be possible show the difference between a bad and good retouch if the image size should stay below 100kb
I had not only to compress the jpg much more of what i think reasonable but even to scale down a lot to stay within the limit

Anyway is the same for all so i will stop to voice my astonishment

Normally i would have used gimp & gmic but here i try to with a program used only once before...and obviously i found too boring read the help or watch tut before start

those the results

ERRATA CORRIGE

i uploaded a wrong file..the first is done with gimp& gmic

Re: Two cottages

this is with that other one with new unknow and bit weird program...
well ....with the good old xnview to scale asimmetrically the original,
DAP for the paint effect
and again xnview to apply a frame and do the miracle to shrink the file size under the 100kb
