I really like the image and I really like both of your versions, Skip. I find the muted colors in your colored pencil version especially appealing.

I feel a little guilty since I will now have less money to spend on family, but I did go Pro. lol

As you know, the basic is free, but 800px was just too limiting for me.

Great picture. Lots of great ideas here. I couldn't resist playing with it several times.
In the first one, I went with a more traditional art look.
In the second, I was shooting for a more primitive, painted with acrylics look.

This photograph was almost too pretty to mess with, but "mess" I did.
Used Imressionist in a pencil sketch monochrome layered over the original followed by some lighting effects for mood & some lightning for effect.
