I've been to Hastings only once. Remember it being a lot brighter and more colourful - your in laws must have picked the one day a year that it rains

Wow, Lyle, I really like that. I don't think it's too abstract at all. Can't wait to see what else you're going to do with that program.

Re: Hastings, England

Enlarged it then shrunk it then flipped it and then basically screwed it up.

Re: Hastings, England

You didn't screw it up at all, Joe. Nice job.

Wow, people. And I'm expected to compete with all these? <sigh> While all renditions are really nice, I find Joe's & Fran's to really stand out.

Re: Hastings, England

Found this one more of a challenge than usual. Had trouble figuring out how I wanted to play this one. So of course, I've several versions.

First I tried out a grunge AOP
Larger version (2400x1600 - 1.99 MB) here:
http://ghealy.smugmug.com/photos/1103892068_7FVLr-O.jpg

But it didn't seem right. So I did one using a Bierstadt AOP in DAP and some post processing.
Larger version (2400x1600 - 1.1 MB) here:

More colourful, but still not quite right.

Finally I thought maybe as a pencil smudge.
Again, larger version (2400x1600 - 1.3 MB) here:

This one has a better 'fit' to the original, dark, gloomy and grey. <Smile>

Thanks for looking.
