Re: Keeping you busy

Grant: Ya gotta help me out here, please? How do you do your watercolours?? messages #11 & # 17 are simply outstanding!!!!!

Thanks Gene. I'm not very good at explaining how I do things in Photoshop, I mainly just do things as I go but I'll try explaining it.

What I do first is adjust shadows/highlights.Then I use either Topaz or Lucis depending on the pic. I then use Buzz to simplify a bit. I then adjust colors and use PWL on some again depending on the pic. I also sometimes use the watercolour filter and adjust the opacity accordingly. I use smart blur sometimes and I add colours on a blank layer using a low opacity.I just basically try a few things until I'm happy with the look. Also on some pics I'll use the AHB. I hope this helps.

Grant

Thanks, Grant. Really appreciate your watercolor process. You do create some stunning images with it!

Nice Fran. Especially like the crop -- works well.

Re: Keeping you busy

Hi Sylvia,
I did these two very different from each other. The contrast between them interested me.
The Bikes was done with an Impressionist filter layered over an enhanced color layer. Then the Bali temple started out as an AHB then several adjustment layers later, this was the result. I wanted the atmosphere to reflect the dignity of the place.

Very fun, and as always, a great learning experience. You travel to the nifty-est places!
