Re: Keeping you busy

Long day; drove over 160 miles round trip. Got home and took a snooze. Finally woke up and found this Sylvia. Wow; fantastic captures. Thought I would start out with this one (way out of sequence I know; lol). Lots of help from PostworkShop.

Re: Keeping you busy

OK; didn't use my crutch (GIMP). Did this one all in PostworkShop. Still have a lot to learn, but getting a better hang at how to approach renders using it. Like the Texture preset.

edit:

lol; maybe I will Sylvia; still like an excuse to use my new toy though.

The good think with digital editing is that you can play with the pictures as much as you want. This batch of pics should keep you busy for a while...
I've never heard of this program you mentioned. It seems pretty interesting...

My goodness, Lyle, you're like a man on a mission. You're really cranking these things out. Each of them well done, I might add.

Sylvia, thanks for posting the photos.

Very nice renditions, everyone.

Re: Keeping you busy

Sylvia: Many thanks for these wonderful images. Wishing you a safe and enjoyable trip.

Lyle: Ah, a man after my own heart. I've purposely avoided downloading these (for now <grin>) because I know once I do, I do several versions of each, pretty much non-stop. <Smile>

Grant: Ya gotta help me out here, please? How do you do your watercolours?? messages #11 & # 17 are simply outstanding!!!!!

Fran: Really like what you did here. Reminds me of a children's book illustration. Whatcha use? (Please?)

Re: Keeping you busy

About the wake Dad for the BF rush (starting way late this year; lol). Not much to buy; Dad wants to get a few things too. Anyway, did this quick play. Still enjoying experimenting with my new toy. Again, I appreciate you sharing these wonderful captures Sylvia.

Thought I was pretty sure how you were using PWS to do your other ones, but this has me stumped. About the best rendering from PWS as I Have seen.

Because I used some PS filters in GIMP too. lol

I created a custom filter based on PwS's Tone map filter. I fed that result into Colored Pen and copied the original layer on top layer and set it to color. The result got copied into GIMP for some additional tlc. Used Xero's Supersmooth filter selectively and did some additional smudging/cleanup cloning too.
