Newbie Italian Portal

I took this in 2008 in Sienna, Italy. Not a very good photo technologically-wise (is that even a word?) But you all are experts at turning around this kind of stuff, so here is my first play on it.

Re: Italian Portal

Ahh, you colored outside of the lines! I have always wanted to use that old line. Now I have got it out of my system-permanently.

Re: Italian Portal

I traveled to Italy also... the beauty there was so intense, no? No one could ever take a bad shot there. As your original capture shows, even doors are objects of art!

For whatever reason popped into my head, I decided to do a nightime rendition.

Re: Italian Portal

Nice photo Gunner - Just went with a muted color pencil to soften the colors a bit.

Re: Italian Portal

Really super image, Gunner.

@Palms: Great colour pencil rendition.

@Verra: Expected to see Irma l;a Douce in the doorway. <Smile> Really like what you've done here.

@Skip: Nice play.

@Grant: You are a master at watercolours. Someday I hope to come close to the quality you consistently display.

@Lyle: I see you're still having a love affair with PWS. <Smile> Find your second is more appealing to me.

Couldn't quite figure out which way I wanted to go with this one so did several versions.

Thanks for the play Gunner. And thanks to all for looking.
