Pink rose

Still having way too much fun playing with Vitaly's watercolour tutorial.

Looking forward to seeing what others come up with.

Been more on an oil binge (in this case, Impasto) of late Gene. Thanks for the play.

Re: Pink rose

@Lyle: Like it. I tend to attempt an oil impasto look, except recently where I've been binging on Vitaly's watercolour tutorial. <grin>

@Grant: You do watercolours so beautifully.

@iDad: Based on that thumbnail, it looks good. But I think you meant to post something a wee bit bigger? Any chance you could try again?

Re: Pink rose

I thought the lonly rose needed company. Added some real stems from my files, then mounted it on some old textured velveteen. The texture was added with India Ink (by Peach something). Pleasant task. Thanks Gene! Oh, BTW, the repro of the image is really crummy...in actuality the texture was quite sharp.

Re: Pink rose

You're right Veronica; the rose is way too lonely, so created a simple offsetted seamless texture and then used it to create a Bauble (getting close to Christmas so why not).

Re: Pink rose

@Craig: Both nice, but #2 really stands out for me.

@Vera: Nice (though a tad too dark for my taste)

@Lyle: Absolutely love that bauble! <Grin>
