I used photoshop to tweak the color and then used Palms method for overlaying a texture, used a texture from that page that v posted in Comment #16. Then I used Corel Painter 11.

Thanks for the play Gene.
The way that i use textures the most is
in photoshop go to
file> place > navigate to where your texture is select then click on place
it then puts the texture on to a new layer with the bounding box around for resiszing ( before you click ok you can alter the opacity and blend mode, so if you dont like that one just press the no button, much easier)
then before you can do anything to this layer (adjustment s etc) right click on the layer and click on rasterize ( in other words by using the place command it changes it into a smart object so that it can be resized better)
It is not a popular way of adding textures but for me it works the best,
the other way is the easiest to explain and one people understand better maybe !

Thanks Palms for the explanation of adding texture. Will give it a try.

And I like your OOB version. (Though I ain't too sure of that new paint job you gave the car. <Big Grin>)

Thanks for playing.

Definitely like the OOB Palms. Looks like something that I would have concocted 8 years ago Skip. lol
