Re: Butterflies

Hey, I know what MoP means! <Big Grin> Did you use the shells left by the Walrus, Lyle? <Bigger Grin>

Skip, I use Vitaly's fantastic Watercolor tutorial found here:
http://pike.jimdo.com/piker-watercolor-tutorial/

Like your take on a watercolour, too.

Re: Butterflies

Thanks Skip. I've enjoyed your watercolors, really like the edge effect that you've done on the the one prior to your last entry. I really need to start doing these effects. Am dabbling with the concept but not serious yet.

Re: Butterflies

Lyle - The border you liked is a combination of the Natural Borders selection in DAP and a Photoshop plugin from onOne software called Photo Frame. I use Photo Frame quite a bit for watercolors and pencil drawings.

Thanks, Grant. I'd be hard pressed to chose between the Clipper & the Tailed Jay. I may be improving, but with images like these, I know I still have a way to go.

Why take photos if they can't be shared and enjoyed by others. <Smile> Really like your rendition of the Clipper.

OK Gene, here's my first go at using Vitaly's watercolor tutorial. Quite a tutorial, but the results are worth the effort I think.

Re: Butterflies

Oh I like that a lot, Palms. Hard part must be adding the stain glass effect to the butterflies themselves.
