Re: Ballet dancers

I see no image Danny. Would like to try a Degas when you get it uploaded or linked.

Re: Ballet dancers

Degas made some wonderful sketches and especially his famous pastels, but he did some wonderful oils too. Went for emulating his oil but of course, like I've said more then once, I'm no Degas. lol

Again, thanks for the play Danny.

Re: Ballet dancers

Well I do have DAP, so why not a Pastel too; added some Impressionist preset to the blend too. Attached is a crop; click below for the complete rendering.

Re: Ballet dancers

Love the photo -- nice find, Danny.

Lyle, great job on both your versions but I'm partial to the second one.

Re: Ballet dancers

Don't know if Degas did watercolors or not. Thought I would try one here.

Great job Lyle, Fran

Re: Ballet dancers

Some super renders here. Glad I don't have to pick a favourite. <Smile>

The black background reminded me of those old black velvet painting . So thought what better than to run it through DAP using the Velvet Elvis AOP. Additional post processing in PSPv9.

Thanks Danny for the play

Re: Ballet dancers

Very good one GP 52...........!

After looking at a Degas it's pretty hard to do a ballet image justice.....This is not supposed to be a look-alike, but thought I would contribute.

Good photo Danny.

Re: Ballet dancers

Still experimenting with this chalk pastel technique I concocted (very GIMPy, but still I ask not to ask yet; still missing something but edging closer to the look I want like Picasso's Rooster (http://www.allposters.com/-sp/Rooste...s_i290508_.htm). I'll settle for chalk right now.
