Re: Baby Sophie

Might try something more traditional later. Click here for the complete rendition; attached is a lower quality crop.

Re: Baby Sophie

Carol, welcome to RetouchPro. Now, this is a cutie! I like your painting, maybe the eyes and mouth could use some more paint, as they look more photographic than painted? Overall nice result!

Hi Carol,

Welcome to RP. You're going to have LOTS of fun with photos and paintings of this cutie. She's adorable.

I like how you added color to the hat and altered the shadows so her face is lighter. As noted by amica999 if you could make the eyes and lips look just a little less photographic you'd have a total home run.

Hope we get to see more of your darling Sophie!

Re: Baby Sophie

Thanks Lyle, Grant, Peter for adding some inspirational versions !
I really like the Grants version, very Van Gogh-ish (i guess?)
Thanks for the warm welcome also.
Cheers Carol & Neil (aka knumbnutz)

Re: Baby Sophie

I don't work on that many people photos especially babies. I found this beautiful little girl in the old posts and I couldn't resist.

I'm trying out the free trial of GMIX Photo Painter and I blended that with a layer of Impressionist.
