Re: country girl

If you ever lived or spent any time on a farm when you were that age, you can really appreciate this image. A lot of fun because you were too young to be too involved in all the work.

Nice find Palms

The first one was just playing around some..

The second was finished with Impressionist.. Using three blended styles (Sketch01, paint smudges, and crayon rubbing 1)

Re: country girl

Great work everybody. Images like this can be deceiving, they look simple yet involve a great amount of transformation, Know what I mean? I loved looking at each & every one of them. Thanks, Palms!

Wow, I don't know how I missed so many good threads. I don't get a chance to work on people photos very often so I thought I'd give this one a try.

Re: country girl

OK Steve; this one's for you. Used the new DAP's and the ol' Classics preset; like how it works with even older presets. Monet is much improved too. Anyway, did have to re-introduce some facial details (which I usually do anyway; consider DAP more a tool then a do all). Click here for complete rendering; attached is a lower quality crop.

That is what I wanted to see. Looks pretty good. The kind of technique I like also.

Can see where you 64 bit guys are gonna have a ball.

Thanks for the demo.

Re: country girl

Hey Steve; Classics is actually available for the 32-bit DAP now, but I will tell you that the new DAP seems to do a better job even with the old AOPs (subjective I hope now; lol). Some very cool and new Van Gogh presets and also Monet presets are going to be available for DAP 64 too but I've not played too much with those yet.

Re: country girl

Some nice interpretations here.

Just this week I discovered the Pixel Bender plug-in with the oil paint filter for Photoshop. Utterly fantastic!! If you have the processing power and the right graphics card this is a must have if you are doing photo art.

This image created in CS5 using pixel bender oil paint filter.

I like your approach, Jaykat...the hint of tint of lips is so restrained, yet captivating.
