Re: London

Just a play with PostworkShop since they just recently released the beta. All could be done with version 1.1, but it's now much more spiffier. Did do some blending and things in GIMP too.

Re: London

A little bug with PsW (sort of crashed) but redid my steps and liked the final result better anyway. Again, version 2 is still in beta, but I will say that even 1.1 crashed on my system (maybe have too many apps open; lol) too.

Re: London

I really enjoyed the time with these beautiful shots. Thanks Palms.

1st, the Bridge, FotoSketcher cartoon, layered & blended over a line drawing, over the original.

2nd, first, AHB,line drawing, then a gradient overlay (whites & grays). Finished w/ Akvis clouds over that... "A Foggy dayyy, in London town..."

3rd, Selective color, convert to sepia, mask for reds and golds, and AHB.

Re: London

rembrandt... I like your water color very much. What brush do you use around the outside edges, the one on the bottom most layer? It's really quite smooth, the one I use (Piker's Watercolor, sz 70) is rather jaggedy.
Thanks!

Re: London

Here's another go at the palace guard with an oil effect. The size reduction for posting doesn't show the brush strokes very well so I included an inset.

Re: London

Great work, everyone! Here's my version of the guard. I've also gone the sepia route but maybe a little differently. Background - blur, sepia, surface blur. The guard - Filter Forge Advanced Posterizer, used that layer to multiply the original. Both - sepia, lens vignette. Done in Serif's PhotoPlus X4.
