Re: assorted tulips in a metal bucket Been trying to emulate him, on and off, for over a year. Just did this one of Phyllis that I'm getting happier with the result. Ben's result may never be replicated, but he himself admits that it takes hours to do his renders. My effort only takes 10s of minutes (mainly since my PC is slow to run the filters necessary to do the color fill).

Re: assorted tulips in a metal bucket Hi - My first post here, this is such a great photo I couldn't resist 'painting' it. After making a screened copy of the original I ran it thru 'find all edges' and blended that with the original using lightness layer mode. Adjusted it in curves and then applied a slight surface blur. I use Serif's PhotoPlus X4.

Re: assorted tulips in a metal bucket Another try at a watercolor. Was wondering if you thought one was better, or are they just different? (Re-attached first try for easier comparison)

Re: assorted tulips in a metal bucket Loona, all 3 are great! I like the first one best as it just seems to draw me in a bit more with the full view and I like the softer feel.
