After noticing him doing this the first time I decided that he was giving thanks for being rescued and being with a home that has a kitty buddy for him. He like to look out our bedroom window at the birds and squirrels as they eat on a railing. It looked to me as if he was praying. I did the retouched one using PS CS5, Topaz Adjust, and Filter Forge.

Re: Oliver at Prayer! Oh Gunner...what a cute pose, but a challenge to work with without the face visible, at least for me. So, I broke the image down to simple shapes, starting with a desaturate. Next was a run thru Fotosketcher on the cartoon 1 setting. After that I experimented w/ PS half tone dot, then hand colored on a separate layer, set to color mode. This was kind of appealing to me so I think I'll try some more along this line. Thank you very much!

Re: Oliver at Prayer! I guess when I have no good ideas, I can always stitch something together. Cat's like strings anyway.

Re: Oliver at Prayer! Nice! BTW, if you develop Tri-X film in Dektol (print developer) you get a similar effect! I found that out in the late '70s...

Re: Oliver at Prayer! Exactly! One could push-process it to quite good heights (1600 iso) with a different developer, whose name I forget now. We use to use it in the Governors office in the late 70's.
