white wild flowers

the light was really good yesterday. I have no idea what these are.

Once you make an edit it's yours to do with as you please but please do not rehost my original.

Have fun!

Just some minor modifications Nancy.

Thanks for the play. Click here for the complete rendering; attached is a lower quality crop.

Prefer Degas Nancy, but can't mimick any of these geniuses but a few of my filters can come close to faking them.

Re: white wild flowers

I've got one of those ideas that won't leave me alone. I've been applying a texture image to the green channel of another image like these flowers...also drawing a half transparent gradient on a color channel.

Re: white wild flowers

Beautiful shot Nancy.

I did wish to add some color to the original, so started playing with textures and decided to go with a mix of purples & yellows (that's what the third attachment is).

BTW, Grant, your version is so finely artistic...leaves me speechless. Love the b'grnd texture.
Lyle, I don't know how yours evolved, it looks so bright & colorful that I want to wear it!
Palms, delightful, delicate and sensitive, so beautiful. I noticed you signed your image. Very few people in these forums, that I can see, sign their work. Any special reason? Some yes, some no. Why some and not others?

Veronica,

Nice color work!

I generally don't watermark things because I don't think there is any point. Just about anyone who posts here could removed a signature in under a minute.

Re: white wild flowers

Great photo! I used Fractalius, both rounded and shaggy, and added a texture. Larger size can be seen at http://www.flickr.com/photos/pat---/5684840122/

Thanks! It was one of the patterns that came with PhotoPlus but I don't remember exactly which one, I tried a several before deciding on that one.

Used a Mac version of Auto Painter with the Cezanne setting.

Re: white wild flowers

I don't know how I missed this one the first time around. It's a great photo.

I layered impressionist watercolor acrylic over a colored pencil sketch.
