Hey Joe, I love this edit. And as an artist, I'm really impressed at how much the screen-sized image looks like it was painted.
Missus Skygod loves her cat, so I might have to try something along these lines!
Regards,
Simon

Used Filter Forge a lot for these two. First treatment with PS sharpen, then Fractalicious in FF. The two different ones I did by using a filter over the Fractalicious one in FF.

The first one is the Smeary Oil filter and the other is the Chalk and Charcoal filter.

Re: Cat

I've always had a cat. Love cats. I had 3 when I met my cat-hater husband and it was a race to the finish to see who would stay and who would leave. Cats won and he became my hero. Today we have a dog, but that's another story.

"When Cats Paint" is a book I had years ago when I was teaching. This little kitty is inspired by it. There are two layers of the cat, top most being an Impressionist version (seemingly appropriate) set to whatever blend mode it was (?).

I think everyone's work has shown an appreciation of this beautiful creature.

Re: Cat

Tossing Paint on the Cat. lol

Just created a new AOP (http://www.mmbforums.com/viewtopic.p...4&p=3918#p3918) and used this cat as the reference. Thought I would share my result here too.

Re: Cat

Click the AOP link Gunner. Used DAP and then did some DUP Overlay blends (actually tried to do too much on an earlier edit and hosed that; lol).
