Peony

I took these earlier today and are not quite what i wanted, It was awkward to get to them ( hence why the white board isnt behind all of the one shot ) and my friend who's garden they are in would't let me pick one the old meany
so anyway i thought maybe some of you would enjoy messing around with them

Re: Peony

Thanks for sharing Palms. Been sort of in a Metallic mood after seeing all of Kaden's posts about Daguratypes at Fred Miranda's site. Enjoyed the play.

Click here for the complete rendition; attached is a lower quality crop.

The red of the peony looks very rich with the metallic look, nice one Lyle

Re: Peony

Lovely blooms, Palms, and I love the positioning of the peony in the second shot especially. Good for you for working on simplifying the background when you can.

I used a number of Topaz filters and some masking...

Re: Peony

Glazed

Who would have thought Inkscape would have such cool plugins, many of which work directly with bitmaps too. I did vectorize the Peony since the effect I wanted didn't work quite like I wanted in pure bitmap. Did a few additional GIMPy things too of course. Again, thanks for sharing these cool flowers Palms.

nice one Lyle, and great idea to add a filter after vectorizing
