Summer shots to play with

I though some of you might like to play around with these shots. The fawn was so tiny that its legs were no bigger around than my fingers. The oak leaf in front should give you some idea of size.

Nothing fancy here, just subdued the colors and framed it as a gallery wrap.

And one of the Swallowtail. Except for the border, I have no idea how I got here.

Re: Summer shots to play with

Thanks all for your lovely renditions of my shots. Lately I haven't done much photoart. I've been concentrating on learning to take photos.
I did find the program Photoscape which is a free download. I haven't seen much about it here, but it's a handy little, fast opening program which does some neat quick edits. These two pictures were both edited with it.

I like it a lot, Skip. Is the gallery wrap an action? I also like the vivid colors on your first one and the texture.

Lyle, as usual I have no idea what it is that you are doing. Paint toss? But I like it a lot.

Palms, yours would make a lovely painting on a white porcelain background if only I could paint.

Fran, I like all three of yours, but I especially like the framing you chose. I can never decide whether to put a frame around a shot or not. Have you got a secret formula you use to decide?

Gunner, I like the texture and how you treated the grass. I found it was difficult to work with. But yours looks great.

Re: Summer shots to play with

Thanks Shari and yes the gallery wrap is an action. I got it from http://www.studiozap.com/goodies/. It's a free sample of a larger action that has more ways to show the gallery wrap effect.

Gunner, I like it. It almost looks carved in wood. Very appropriate, given the subject matter.
