Grassy Pathway

I took this photo a few weeks ago, and I thought it would make a nice painting.
I had an idea in mind but so far I'm unable to get the "look". See what you can do, and have fun.

Re: Grassy Pathway

A simple fake smudge effect for starters. Thanks for the play Cathy.

Re: Grassy Pathway

Thanks for posting, Cathy.

I used Topaz, Impressionist, and DAP at varying opacities.

Re: Grassy Pathway

Lyle, that is really nice. I love the wispy look.
Nasturtium, you got the purple flowers to really pop.
FranS, I like the combination of filters, it does look like an impressionist painting.

Re: Grassy Pathway

I thought all versions were lovely and Lyle's reminded me most of a Van Gogh!

Re: Grassy Pathway

Pretty little scene...I almost turned it into an autumn scene since the colors would have been more varied. However, first did AHB, followed by a line drawing layer atop, and paper texture over all Somehow it needed more depth to give it life and I tried that with various greens.

Veronica, that is so bright and cheery. I love the boarder too.
