Re: Peeps

My goodness, this kitty really is adaptable! Fran, your colors are so rich, especially the lime eyes, and Lyle... the traveling line is so maze-like I'm tempted to follow it through. CJ, wooden treatment seems to suit him well. For my interpretation I chose a Topaz 4-tone B&W, then did AHB on it.

Thanks Palms. The reason the preview can't be seen is it is a PNG file with transparent background and the ink color for the line drawing happens to be black (site issue; not the only site with this issue). Just click the preview box and you'll be able to see the hirez result.

Thought I would do two more. Actually did the woodcut way early in the morning (like around 3:20am; lol) and decided to wait til posting it. Actually used the woodcut as the bases to feed into my G'MICtillus routine for the G'MICtillus result.

Re: Peeps

Couldn't resist this one. Tone mapped in Photomatix 3 times. The tonemapping caused extreme pixelization in the background so I smoothed it out in PhotoPlus with Topaz Clean. Made a selection of the face and used Topaz Detail to sharpen it up. This made a slight tonal difference but I didn't know how to fix that. Ran the whole thing thru Topaz Adjust and used the flat smooth preset to bring out the face more. I hope Mr. Peeps will be pleased.

Re: Peeps

interesting one John, i would call it heat seeking peeps lol

Lyle again nice ones the first wins for me

Pat Nice one i just had a quick look at and by putting the saturation down and the contrast up slightly the tone is perhaps better ( all in personal choice )

great ones all and surprised no one has picked up that you can see me in the catch lights

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll remember for next time.

Catch lights...do you mean the reflections? I thought I saw you in his eyes.

Re: Peeps

Buried Peeps in Plushies Palms (that's a lot of P's. lol). Quality at 23% compression is quite bad; below's a link to a higher quality result.
