Re: arched bridge Nancy, such a beautifu photograph deserves no further treatment, however... First used Akviss magnifier to enlarge it, then used selective color followed by the addition of a sun and finally, AHB.

Re: arched bridge Great photo Nancy!! And some very nice renditions from all. Here's my go at an oil effect. The details are lost in reducing for posting so I included a 100% crop. This was done with the new DAPx64, plus some tweaking in Photoshop to bring out the brush strokes.

Re: arched bridge Lyle- you're most definitely channeling the impressionists there Fran - just lovely! Pat - the vignette makes a nice frame for your interpretation OlBaldy - that is SO cheerful. How did you get those cool grungy edges? Veronica-Wonderful results Grant - I really like how Fractalius seems to 'know' what to simplify and which lines to use as a texture Photomaster - Your first one absolutely blew me away...did you really start with my little picture to make that? Your second one quite captures the feel of a bright fall day Grant - What a happy orange Monet-like edit. Thanks for the 100% crop. Wow! You guys always blow me away with your creativity but you're all out doing yourselves on this one. - Nancy

Re: arched bridge I agree with you PM; the canvas features of the new DAP is definitely the gem for this new version. I still wish Oscar would have allowed for a transparent canvas option, but I guess it would have been just too difficult to implement.

Re: arched bridge Lyle, what do mean when you say transparent canvas option? I think DAP gives significant control over the canvas.

Re: arched bridge I like to use object based AOPs too PM; a transparent canvas would be very benificial w.r.t. these type of AOPs where I can add additional dimension via drop shadow effects on a canvas of my choice using an external program (in my case GIMP). Still, DAP 64 is definitely a much more powerful program then its predecessor no doubt. The ability to add lighting/dimension to the overall rendition after the render is complete is very cool indeed.

Re: arched bridge Nice photo, thanks for posting. Topaz adjust 5, topaz clean, soft light neutral layer to dodge and burn, nik brilliance, flattened up, new layer below, others off, mixer brush to paint in, reversed and lowered opacity.
