I really like all the different way you display images on your blog...I didn't know blogspot could do that.

The different display options is a new feature in Blogspot. Isn't it great.

Some impressive work here so far.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Combat Ready

Thanks Photomaster - Great shot. I used DAP Renoir to start, then into Photoshop and aged it a bit.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Combat Ready

Lyle,

Since you are a Photoshop user you, or anyone, might enjoy trying this technique for enhancing your artwork:

In the attached image, your watercolor version of "Combat Ready" is on the left. Superimposed on it is the layer set up I use in Photoshop. On the right is the enhanced artwork.

Layer descriptions:

Layer 1: The original "Combat Ready" photo;

Layer 2: Brightness adjustment;

Layer 3: Lyle's watercolor image with layer mask. (Note: Layer Transparency is reduced to 53% - varies depending on image) Paint on the layer mask with a soft round brush using appropriate strength and sizes to reveal details of the original image. (Paint with BLACK to reveal and WHITE to conceal) This gives unprecedented control over your filtered image;

Layer 4: Brightness reduced;

Layer 5: Shows Lyle's watercolor version of "Combat Ready"

By applying this technique to any "artified" image you will find a whole new level of control and enjoyment.
