Portrait

Another one of Kate. Started this several weeks ago, and there were times when I almost quit. This was done in Paint Shop Pro and Painter6, with 17 layers. I used a little app called Color Schemer to choose the BG colors. Done from a bad ref. photo. I am pretty happy with it now, but that may change later. Some know what I mean.

It's kinda like the Beatles last two albums. The one that came out last, was started first. I hope the colors are alright, as they change from Paint Shop Pro to Painter, and to the web. No tut planed, but the skin is what took all the time, the hair was a challenge also. Seventeen layers.

That looks fantastic Greg. I was going to comment on the hair and skin color, but you beat me to it! I'm nowhere close to being an artist, but to me, that's beautiful. Excellent play of light and shadows.

Outstanding job Greg! From the skin tone, to the texture of the dress, to the highlights in her hair…they all look great! The only thing that bothers me is something just seems a bit off about the center of the ear. Perhaps it seems too large or maybe it just needs just a hint more of dark areas it, I am not sure. Overall though it is a simply beautiful image!

You must have an ear fetish. as I'm not an ENT Doc. I don't know.
Thanks guys. I love feedback, in fact, it feeds me.
Who wants to see the orig. I didn't use to do this, but it can't hurt if it instructs at all.
This is what kept pulling me as I was working on the tut of Olivia, I would try to get into it, but this one pulled at me to finish her.
