tulips

Playing around with Corel Painter Essentials (it's a pared down version of Painter...like Elements is a simpler version of PS)

Also messing around with Post Workshop...there's lots of little hidden nuggets I still need to explore.

Please don't rehost my original. You can do whatever you like with your edit.

OK; how about a splash of effervescent Kool-aid too. Click below for complete rendition; attached is a lower quality crop.

Re: tulips

I liked your pic Nancy, though it feels strange to be doing tulips while the ground outside is covered in snow.

First, I applied a setting from Topaz B/W in a hand tinted mode, next did a AHB of that, then applied a texture over that.

Re: tulips

Since I was reading the forum on my iPad, I messed with your photo using Nik Snapseed. Of course I had to email it to myself and come over to the desktop to attach it here... ;-) There's probably a way to work around that by uploading directly to some gallery but I didn't mess with it.

Cool edges. Yes, Snapseed rocks. I messed with a picture and tried to upload it to Flickr but only the Flash uploader seemed to be available. I think you're doing better than me though bcs I don't think I've managed to even login to RTP on my iPad...

Re: tulips

I concocted a new technique that I call ceramic glaze. Even so, my flow had to be quite modified for this one so the flow's not ready for prime time. Hope it fakes a glazed ceramic well enough though.

Re: tulips

Which one Plugs; curious. By the way, the link to the tut is here, but I had to do an iterative process to get it too look like glossy ceramic for this result.

Re: tulips

Hard to say offhand since there are thousands-! But it looks like one I've seen, probably under the Creative category.

Re: tulips

Hated my last AOP so splurged a lot of money (55¢), at least for me and scanned actual NECCO Sweethearts (actually long gone now, but virtually they will always be here; lol) to create a new AOP and used it for this result. Click link below for complete rendition.

Re: tulips

A nice, simple image, Nancy. It's all about the colour, I think, so the KISS primciple applies: underpainting, glowing edges and a curves tweak.

Re: tulips

Some of you all already know that I lost my marbles a few years ago. These are sort of how they looked like (I know; smaller would have been better, but I like big marbles).
