LA Apocalypse

Here's a series of images I did for an upcoming tutorial in Photoshop Projects magazine (unless you live in AUS/NZ you probably won't see it). Make sure to enlarge it a bit from the default display.

I started with a generic touristy view of downtown LA from Griffith Observatory, color corrected it with iCorrect EditLab Pro, added a 1940's-like stark+soft effect with Topaz Adjust, then yellow sky and artificial foreground bokeh with Topaz Lens Effects, followed by red/orange/black vignette+grain (also Lens Effects), then artificial sunset and lens flare (Knoll Light Factory) and finally some grunge with Retrographer.

A larger final version is also attached.

Re: LA Apocalypse

Very cool result plugs. Not sure why my mind goes to I Robot, but the result makes me think of that movie for some reason. Futuristic decay I call it.

Re: LA Apocalypse

Liked that Will Smith movie too. Men in Black (I and II) as well as Independence Day. Only sort of liked Handcock.
