Re: A few Black tailed deer Nice pics, MTP, the deer appear to be quite tame to let you get close enough to photograph them. Lot of great texture in this one: bark, stone and fur. I tried to bring them out, but with varying degrees of success.

Re: A few Black tailed deer Crapaud the deer are use to people, these pics were taken at my wifes fathers house in Klamath falls oregon. They feed the deer in the winter so they are use to people. I did use a zoom lens on the ones laying down. Great renditions by the way.

Re: A few Black tailed deer I've heard that there are deer who don't run away from people - nice that you were able to work with them so much. Nice images - thanks for sharing ! Used Topaz Detail, Adjust, Simplify plus some masking Last edited by CJ Swartz; 04-07-2012 at 05:18 PM. Reason: added image

Re: A few Black tailed deer Steve I used a 300mm lense, focal lenght was around 150. Was able to get around 20 feet close to them. Shutter sound would spook hem a bit. If you had a bucket of food they would walk up to you.
