Re: SXC portrait - kid's play

While I was working on this pretty girl, the skin colours went a bit wonky. It looked OK on screen, but I don't trust it, so have been working by the numbers. I'm not sure where it all went wrong, but after a lot of tweaking the numbers look fine. If by chance the wee lass looks blue, green or some other unnarural colour please let me know.

Lyle - always fun to see what you come up with
Crapaud - your colors look fine to me -- yes, I had to color correct her twice. I like your square crop

Joe - great job on evening out the skin tones and the eyes are really compelling...which part of the image did you find difficult? I had a hard time with the very light right portion of her face

Re: SXC portrait - kid's play

Thought I would try a voronoi inspired cobblestone like render this time Nancy. I attached a severe crop (as well as being a lower quality one). Click link below for the complete rendition.

Nothing fancy, (I'm sure you will agree), just a few paint dabs here and there.

Lyle - cool mosaic effect
Steve - the direction of your paintstrokes are really wonderful - did you do that or did a program decide which way they should go

Sorta both.....used filtering thru Paint Shop Pro and layered to touch it up.
