Thoughts, pointers, suggestions, critiques are welcome.
Crapaud,

When working with AHB, I find that duplicating the final layer and applying some sharpening to it (with USM or Smart Sharpen) usually helps quite a bit.

Janet: Love the pics, thanks for sharing these 3 very colorful images.

Fran S. Love your renditions.
Crapaud, lkroll, veralisa and sylvia, love all your colorful renditions.

This picture is too colorful, so I thought I would take it over the top in color and see what happens.

Re: Not afraid of color - a portrait or two

@ Janet and Sylvia, I think I've worked out a large part of my probs with the AHB.

1. I was using a brush that didn't suit the image.

2. The low image resolution: no matter how small I make the brush, it goes haywire and obliterates detail on images. It seems to be fine on higher res, higher detailed images.

Would it be worthwhile starting a new thread to discuss the ins and out of the AHB?

Crapaud, what brush are you using???

I'd love to see a thread on the AHB. One can never have too many hints.

Fran, in the search menu for the forums section of RTP, you will find several good tutorials on the AHB. They are not all included in the tutorial section; so a bit of sleuth work will be in order to find them all. Good luck and enjoy.

I'm really enjoying all of the entries so far. It's nice to get out of our comfort zones and experiment with color, shapes, and textures. Good going all.
