Painter X quick question

Hi-
Newbie Marty here, got an easy question; how the heck do I turn off the transparency grid (checkerboard) displayed for any layers in Painter X?
In Photoshop it's easy and in preferences, but so far in Painter I cannot find that toggle to save my life!!
thanks in advance- Marty Moose

Re: Painter X quick question

Hi Marty...Welcome aboard.

I just replaced my computer therefore don't have Painter X installed at the moment and don't recall offhand (I'm no longer a frequent Painter user).

Found a Painter X user guide on the net and grabbed some info (see attached). Does this get you over the hump?

Danny

Re: Painter X quick question

Thanks for that help Danny, I appreciate the effort! Unfortunately, I am refering to the grid that shows in each little icon in the layers palette, I don't think I made that as clear as I should have. When you have your column of layers to click on and work on, each icon has this maddening checkerboard in it that makes it impossible to see what is being represented, can't seem ta turn that off yet.
Thanks for tryin- Marty

Re: Painter X quick question

sorry 'bout the swing/miss.

Moved your thread here for possibly more visibility. Maybe one of our Painter regulars can chime in with a possible solution.

Marty...

Here's a resource I highly recommend:

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/digitalnuts/

Lots of Painter users among these really nice folks.

Note: Not trying to "shoo you awway..." - just tryin' to help.

Danny
