OK Nancy, I went nuts. Used Lyle's (aka Ikroll) new Paint Toss AOP in DAP.

Nice shot, Nancy.... thought I'd change the background and give it sort of an illustrator's appearance...

Veronica,

Good job! You're treatment really brings out the detail in the gloves and the cloth tied at his waist

Nice results folks. Not a new preset Skip; just created a DAP installer since it makes it easier to install. Anyway, thought I would outline in chrome this one.

Re: creative interpretations - Knight

A great pic to play with, Nancy.

The bright colours in the background were distracting me, so I went for an aged, olde worlde manuscript feel.

Love the guts and veins!
Just downloaded GIMP for the first time. Figured I'd give a shot. Can you please explain how you created it.

Thanks

I didn't see this one when it was first posted. It's a great photo and there are some wonderful and different renditions posted.

You will also need the G'MIC plugin. I believe I blended other textures as well, but I did this one a while back so don't actually recall all that I did to this. lol

I want to say Rodillius (a G'MIC preset) was involved but not 100% sure now and am pretty much not in the mood to recreate the steps (had to put a cat to sleep today). Anyway, if I did use Rodillius, then I probably used the flow from link below.

Ahh, real sorry to hear about your cat

No worries. I figure I'd do some trial and error.
Thanks for the link

Re: creative interpretations - Knight

Thanks for the symphathies. She wasn't my cat for very long and just wish I could have been her Daddy for longer then then little over a month that I was. If I could have ensured she wouldn't spread the disease to my boy and other cats in our neighborhood, I would have tried the various therapies mentioned by the Veterinarian, but he did say, even with those therapies, that she only had a fraction of a chance to survive. She was very skinny (and light) despite eating twice as much as my boy so knew something was wrong. Oh well. I'm still more angry then sad that I had to euphanize her. Don't ever want to be in this situation again (had to do the same for my Dad's cat 2 years ago).
