broken car at church

Link fixed by DannyR
--------------------------

This is from a photo taken in Mulege in Baja California. There was a broken down car in front of this old stone church. I did it using Buzz Pro. The layers were
Top : pure color set to overlay
middle:ink stack set to multiply
bottom:simplifier set to normal

This is my first post here so forgive me if I am not getting the posting right.

Your link does not work!

try loading into the forum by pressing reply there is a part down the bottom to upload an image - the file needs to be 102400 bytes or smaller.

how do I?

Now that I have uploaded the image, it is waaaaay small. Is there a way to compress the image or something so that it looks decent when uploaded at that terribly small size? Or is there a way to simple link to the site that the image is on in the web?

Here is the URL for a more reasonable look at the image......sorry I don't yet know how to work this forum.

What program are you using? - if its photoshop go to save for web in the file menu - and put some thing like 800x600 in the image size. Make it a .jpg and reduce the quality slider until its about 60%. If the size of the file is still too large try reducing the quality or the image size until its okay.

Hope this helps

Clare

Just checked out your web site you do some beautiful work. I expecially liked 'gradient ocean birds', it has a fantastic use of colour.

Welcome Cricket! Don't worry -- lots of people have trouble at first, but it gets easier by the minute -- so stay awhile and look around.

I looked at your website galleries also -- love some of the watercolor effects with your kids, your macaw, the "sea sick" image is funny and clever. You've been to Thailand and Vietnam - nice! Another lady here in the forum visits Vietnam regularly, and has some lovely images from there also.

Very nice Cricket.

I too went and looked at your gallery. Your images of Viet Nam made me "home sick". (I'm the one Cj mentioned who has traveled there a few times. ) It looks like you were mainly in the Hanoi area - at least that's what your pictures seem to be.

Thank you for all your comments and also help on posting.

I just recently got back from lovely Vietnam. We were only in the Hanoi area because we didn't have much time. We were also in Thailand in Bangkok this trip. I love to travel especially to Asia.

We were only in the Hanoi area because we didn't have much time.

That's my favorite area in VN, followed by Sa Pa and Hue. But, Hanoi is definitely "home" for me!

I have a question about the Harry Potter poster you took a picture of in Bangkok... That's not Thai letters on the poster - looks more like Russian to me. Do you know why? And the sunset river pictures - that was in Thailand too? (It doesn't look like the river front in Hanoi.)

Did you taste any crickets after the silk worms?

The Harry Potter writing is stylized Thai....I agree that it doesn't look like Thai, but it is.

The river sunset is in Thailand. I was taking the photos from the river frontage of the Shangrila Hotel.

What takes you to Vietnam? Do you have business there or it is for pleasure? I was stunned by the beauty of the country and the warmth of the people.

I only tried silk worms. That was weird enough for me.....I did just buy a book on insect eating throughout the world.

Cricket, love your church "painting." The bricks in particular are wonderful...couldn't stop looking at all the subtle colors.
