I like copy1 the best. I have no idea which application you used for that - perhaps that's the point? You did a great job with the shading of the pink rose in that painting. I like the stems also. But I think the red rose needs more shading (like you gave the pink rose.)

I like version 3 the best. There is a richness to the paint stokes.

But you could probably get version 1 to look this rich with some more stroking, regardless of it being Photoshop. Take a look at this portrait done in Photoshop 5.5 using the older brush technology.

Of course, the woman who did this knows color pencil technique, which translates over to using limited software brushes. But still, it is pretty impressive use of Photoshop.
