Polaroid Transfer Effect

Polaroid Transfers might be considered one of the early forms of photo art. It is a method of taking a Polaroid picture and transferring it to art paper (or some other paper) instead of letting it transfer to its normal paper.

If you have admired any of these, you might be interested in a tutorial for simulating this look in Photoshop.

Have you used this technique? Can you post some of your work using this method?

I've tried it on a few images. On some it had a decent affect on others it was not so hot. Unfortunately, I tried it on copyrighted images I downloaded from the web, so I can't post them. But here is one I just did quickly using a picture from here.

Andrew:

Late to the party on this one. Facinating technique. You have a knack for unearthing interesting methods. KEEP IT UP!

I'll be updating the "mother of all photo-art tutorials" thread soon with a link to this site. Appreciate you posting the link and example.
