Creative interpretations: It's Only Rock-n-roll, but I Like It

Why not a little Mick and Keith to stir things up a bit. Think they've aged a bit since then?

Not a big stones fan, but figured I'd give it a go anyway.

Was inspired by the LeRoy Nieman challenge, so gave Mick & Keith the Nieman treatment.

* Wavy-Color to taste
* Edge-Preserving Smooth
* Select faces/Invert selection
* Microsoft Impressionist Paint-DryBrush-Junk Pile (slightly tweaked)
* Invert Selection
* Microsoft Impressionist, reduce brush size to 25%

I thought I'd try out the new simulated oil painting action on this one. Download it here: http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/sho...1158#post61158

Ran the action twice, reversing the direction of the angled strokes on the 2nd pass. Flattened and copied that image (less the texture layer), copied into the 1st version (under the Restore Detail layer) and applied some strokes (going the other direction) via layer mask.

Restored some face, head and guitar detail via the Restore Detail layer.

Gina, that has a cool embossed look to it. I like what the effect has had on the values.
