patricia,

here's a thought, it might make an interesting challenge to actually put up a sort of paint by numbers pic as a challenge. take one of your poppys, for instance, and desaturate it or use a 'find all edges' and post it that way and let folks color it as they see fit. might be interesting.

boats

Originally tried to make a sketch. Ended up with a combination of sprayed strokes and spatter layers plus some of the B&W sketches.

OK, I'll give this a go again. A watercolor feel. PSP9, Salt and pepper filter very stron, VP gouache, VP airbrush, and desaturating and playing with color levels.

This one has been around for awhile. Thought I might have another go at it.

Nice picture.
Do you have a link to the action?

Thanks a lot.

I used the big pointilist cloner in Deep Paint, then smudged a duplicate layer and set it to soft light in PSP 9. I also boosted the colors a little bit.

This picture cries out for oils with its saturated colours, but I thought I would go the other way and try a Lith/Comicbook effect.

PSP X

Pictureman's 'hand drawing' layer over faded original.
All layers flattened.
Then used Imageskill's 'Image Repainter' plugin to change the palette to one from the original photo. Fade set to 70 to lighten the heavy shadows.

Great work from all on this pic.
Regards to all,
Mitch.
