Very nice edits, everyone!
Two results from the sketch action I'm working on.

Wow! Everyone's having a lot of fun with this one, and turning in so many interesting takes!

Started with a sketch, and added color back in, then changed colors using Color Range/Color Balance/Hue-Sat, then added a Lighting effect and an overlay blur layer for softness, erasing/masking to taste.

I'm jumping into the Painter Tiling along with everyone else who is exploring Painter. I agree with Raniday in that it is MUCH easier doing it this way than with real tiles. I remember back to 5th grade when our class took on a monumental project for the whole school. We made a 4 ft. x 5 ft stylized rendition of our school mascot all in tiles. How many years ago was that...................? Last summer when I took my npehews to lunch, it was still hanging in the school cafeteria. And this project only took a few minutes.

Hang in there,

Janet

Cool effect!! :

If I tried that in PShop, I'd still be going at it tomorrow... (and then I'd trash it because it wouldn't come out good).

BUT -- can we still eat the grapes?

Thanks CJ. Somehow I don't think the texture of ceramic grapes would be very appealing.

I have been thinking about trying to do something like the tiles in photoshop and wondering if it would be a futile effort. It certainly wouldn't be as "random" as the tiles generated in Painter; but I do think it could be done. I'll have to ponder it.

Such great color in this fruit picture. Hardly want to change anything but did using GERTRUDIS. Hope you like what I did.
