Re: Creative interpretations: Ashley and her New S

Decided to revisit this one as its such a good pic.
I couldn't decide which I liked best, B&W or colour, so posted both.

I vote for the B&W. I really like your technique on this. Could you please tell me how you did it?

Re: Creative interpretations: Ashley and her New S

Thanks you guys.

First of all I was going to do a full colour version, smoothing, colour adjustment etc. Then I was checking something in one of the channels, and I thought "That looks OK in B&W but some bits were missing. I looked at the other channels and the detail was there. So I copied 2 of the channels to new layers and masked out the bits I didn't want. I then duped the background, moved it to the top of the pile and made the blend mode overlay then ran Redfields++ on it a few times and reduced the opacity quite low - this gave the textured effect. For the coloured version I moved my edited colour layer to the top and changed the blend mode to colour and lowered the opacity down a bit.
Well thats the basics of it anyway hope it helps.

Peter
