Beautiful paintings, everyone! I did this using Art History and PS Watercolor on a stucco texture.

Great results!

Can't recall the last time I did a butterfly picture, had fun with it in Painter (i.e. Impasto).

Cheers

steve,

i've looked at all the other renditions here, but yours is the first one that i felt i was in the air, over the butterfly, looking down on it. very clever piece!

Thanks Craig.

I like the combination painting effect and photo combo and have been experimenting with it on a few things.

Butterfly

I lost track of what I was doing here between multiple snapshots and deciding what I liked best. Sorry I can't re-step the process. I eventually got frustrated with what I was attempting and decided to go with what I had.

Although it's hard to do, sometimes it's best to walk away and come back later -- giving your creative muscles a chance to refresh.

Despite your frustration, I like what you came up with anyway, Tyler. Keep on creating!
