Ok. The colors are so strong, I had to try pOPaTist (I can never get the upper and lower case right!!). Then put it again thru the adjustments portion.

Interesting how two creations rooted in the same action (pop artist - regardless of spelling ) can turn out so differently.

Mine: Still playing with applying Virtual Painter's Oil Paint filter to black and white sketches (Duplicate BG, Smart Blur/Edge Only + Diffuse > Anisotropic twice + Invert + Unsharp Mask) to get kind of a smudged look. The final result here is too busy overall, but I like the general look.

Kiska and Duv--great variety out of popartist!

Danny--I like using VP oil on sketches too. I'm especially partial to using it after running Buzz's ink stack (with reduced remove).

I found this in photoshop 6.0 effects magic pages 35-36

1. select the black in the image
2. inverse selection
3. fill with dark brown
4. paint with art history brush in lighten or luminosity mode.

Yikes: Just tried VP Oils on Buzz Ink. Yippee. Very nice effect. I'll be wasting today playing with that. Thanks MUCH for sharing that tip, CH.

I got PS 6 (and 7) Magic. Guess I'll have to dust them off. I like the swap the black for brown effect.
