abtract sunflower

I took the image and hit it with flaming pear flexify, then used rotating mirror to even the sides up set of 0-0, then ran PSP8 rough leather texture set with a dark pink color and a minimum 4 contrast, 4 sharpness and 4 blur.

Very creative composite on your first one, kiska. Looks like it's right out of MTV.

Amy: Your abstract is very impressive.

ZB: Looks like it's been laquored. Interesting effect.

Mine:
* See thumbnail for the layers palette: 2 layers from Impressionist; one layer via Virtual Painter Oil Painting.
* Two copies of the original Background set to Luminosity, one for detail near the center (50% opacity); the other for detail elsewhere (100% opacity).

I've always been a sucker for the propeller effect with daises. Radial blur, Distort twist, Amphisoft Simplifier, Replace Color followed by more Radial blur and Twist in the opposite direction.

Cheers

Lots of variety in the submissions. :-)

ZB--that metalworks effect is gorgeous!

Started with 2 dups of the original. On the lower layer, ran impressionist. On the upper layer, buzz ink stack followed by virtual painter (I think oil, but may have been pastel). Adjusted the blending mode and opacity.
