Here's a stormy rendition. Used Impressionist Conte along with Mr Contrast.

Cheers

I like the colours in that photo. I muted mine.

Re: Creative interpretations: Yachts at the Finish

Here is my entry into this very fun challenge.

Rendered in Painter XI and CS 5 and more than a few trips through the Topaz filters to emphasize the sky, which was completely repainted. And a trip or two into Mystical Lightings for additional lighting effects and a bit of misting over the water in selected areas.

Also did a lot of work on the water to give it a more churned up menacing look.

Missed this one the first go time (well; I wasn't a member then; lol). Cool find Joe. Decided to deviate from vexels and went oil on canvas for this one.

Very colourful Lyle.

I wasn't a member the first time round as well, better late than never.

Re: Creative interpretations: Yachts at the Finish

Here's one from me, using PhotoPlus X4, I also have a question but not sure where to ask so I'll ask it here I did read the FAQ but still not sure about posting things I do, such as this image, to my Flickr page. If I were to post this picture to Flickr I would add a bit in the description that said it was for RetouchPro Creative Interpretations, original picture by A. Holder with a link to the download page. Is that the correct way or should I not put it on Flickr at all since I didn't see any permission from A. Holder? Just want to make sure I follow the rules correctly.

- HDR, then merged it with the original.
- A lot of playing around with layer effects to texture the layer and then add a separate texture.
- Made several duplicate layers and played with screening and multiplying.
- Added a watercolor frame from FilterForge Free Frame Pack, and then a simple color frame with PhotoPlus Frame Macro.
