Creative interpretations: Piano Keys

Here's a couple images (taken my Moonfrye and Angel) to play with.

Manipulate them individually or by all means combine them whichever way your creativity dictates.

Made selection of keys only. Copied 3x, ran Colorart action 3,5,6. One/each copy. On b/w keys I ran dry brush and palette knife (2x) filters. Also attached is my layers palette.

kiska--interesting effect

Mine's a little out there too, and I think I could have made a better image choice. But I'm tossing it out as something new.

1. opened 2 images (they must be the same dimensions)
2. go to channel palette on each image and split channels.
3. pick one and go to channel palette and merge channels. The best results seem to come from making the green channel of one image the red channel and using the blue channel from the second image as the green and the red channel from the second as blue (but different combos work) This gives a blended image with wild colors.
4. Use the channel mixer to adjust the color (a little) and the balance between the 2 images (a lot). Still bizarre color.
5. took the result to flaming pear's melancholytron to give it sepia cast (any method of toning down the color would be fine)
6. played around with nik filters for a while.

Here's a couple of examples of the same technique that came out a little better.
