| | | Danny:
I really liked the contrast of stone shop with the colorful fabric in the shop's doorway.
Thanks

| | I agree, Bob. I, too, liked the contrast between the colors and the architecture.
I applied impressionist style #djroil24 (available HERE ) on this one. I like it when I can do something I like in less than 24 layers!

| | | Nice choice of photo Danny, thank you. Architecture is always popular to work on along with colours! Rlspencer - nice work and nicely defined.
Danny - Like your rendition very much. Xaran - lovely pastel effect, well done. Steve - terrific work, you got a good colour going on the walls and good choice of brushstrokes...
I was determined to experiment with Impressionist. Lightened image via Levels first. Duped layer - Impressionist/Conte Faithful (rather like this one...)only change made was reduced from 100 to 25%.
Layer Mode - Soft Light slightly reduced/to suit the image.
Applied a mask, filled in background with an image colour. Merged
and applied a canvas texture. |

| | | Re: Creative interpretations: Turkey - Clothing Store I worked on the red channel to get the building details as line art. Masked out the window areas and ran a water color filter on the underling photo. Played with the blending modes until I got something I liked and added a beige color fill layer to add the oxydation color back to the building. Lovely photo! |

| | | Re: Creative interpretations: Turkey - Clothing Store Wish I had listened more in art classes. Did not learn anything about styles and the artists techniques. So what I do is not copying anyone it's just what feels and looks right. I used many steps in the Gertrudis software to acheive this look so hope it looks OK. |
