Creative interpretations: Parade in South Africa

Music is wonderful no matter in what country it is played (South Africa in this case). This creative photo was shot by J.Adams.

manjumena and kiska--I like both of these. It's great how you both gave a different mood to the image. Manjumena yours made it much more elegant and kiska yours gave it a festive mood.

1. dup original twice
2. add texture to the lower layer
3. on the upper layer, select black with the magic wand
4. invert selection
5. flood fill with dark brown
6. paint with history brush in varied modes (luminosity, color, darken, and lighten) using long medium and short strokes.
7. reduce opacity of upper layer to 90 to allow just a hint of detail and texture to show through.

It never fails to amaze me how we manage to achieve such varying results!
Great results and very well done. Thanks for the photo to work with...I ended up with a fluorescent pink!?
