Re: Creative interpretations: Boat at Marbury Park

another of the 'new technique'. this involves doing some pre-adjustments, then blurring and adding blend modes to the blur. i do this a couple times with various blend modes depending on the image. often there is a usm in there, again, depending on if i wish to leave any blurring or not. it's a nice technique with lots of options one can choose.

alexmeta,
your second rendition is very painterly - I specially like the vivid-yellow-accents
I think, they are very postimpressionistic, very Gauguin-like.
How did you do it ?

The colors you have acheived Barbara, are wonderful ,IMHO. Green recedes and is a bit cool, but the scene is perfectly suited to that feel. The stark patch of blue in the center boat is very magnetic visually.

Do try again, if you must, but this effort is exemplary and I would be most satisfied with the result.

I'm saying nothing you might call me paranoid, it's not me it's all the others.

Yeah just a little Lucis for the details, plus Redfield's base relief and a few other things.

Peter

(just can't keep my big mouth shut can I?)
