What Select Edges does:
* Identifies image edges
* Creates a selection from them

Then what?

Options include:
* Select > Save Selection (for future use)
* Sharpening (for a sharpen edges technique)
* Ctrl + J (to create layer consisting of just the selected edges) possibly followed by other filters such as Stylize > Diffuse > Anisotropic
