My Christmas Wish

This one seemed to put itself together with blending modes and and lots of layers.

Nicely done.

For future ref, it would be preferable if you would uploaded attachments. That ensures the your handiwork survives (and there will be no broken links) when you rearrange your pBase site sometime in the future.

Anyway, keep 'em coming. You have a nice touch.

Kiska. Love the way you incorporated the flames. Raniday, a classic image perfect for a Christmas card.

Cheers

Hi Raniday

You nailed it. I haven't used pOpArTiSTnew a lot but kinda liked the look of this one.

Season's Greetings to all at Retouchpro!

This was done in Corel Painter using a tutorial by Jacquelin Vanderwood which you will find here.
The wreath was done with the image hose brush.

Talking

I was playing around with the elements of this and came up with something that was nice but kind of dark and somehow that reminded me of these goth friends of mine . . .

Actually, I think this looks rather pretty without the blood and depressing text -- see the second attachment.

Oh -- the font is Exocet, which I think is the archetype of all goth fonts.

BTW, Raniday, I love what you did with it!

Addendum: I normally work on an LCD monitor and the black candles stand out just fine, but today I viewed these images on a CRT and the candles are virtually invisible: the flames appear to be hanging in mid-air and it looks notso hotso. Drat.

Thanks, Craig. Our Christmas cards are sorta opposite ends of the spectrum
I followed your link to your ARTWORK page..........definitely not your father's Oldsmobile. Very creative IMHO, and great colors; color is obviously my thing.

Considering the source, I take that as high praise (I've taken a look at your gallery, too)(I especially liked your work here: http://www.pbase.com/catbounds/_paper_sculpture -- Very rich colors and textures)
